This is hideously clever design but poor branding – who would remember a business named “coffee”? I realize it’s “coffee cup” but the “cup” portion is far too interpretive for this to be considered part of the communication made.

Should ‘made up’ business logos be entered into these competitions? I’m not sure – especially if they are then trying to be sold:

This logo can be yours for $680.
So there cannot be any consideration into the users, location and demographic of the existing business. It feels like an ‘easy’ way to turn an idea into a logo, as it doesn’t need to be for an actual business.
There is nothing taking away that it is a nice design, and would be worthy – if this was a real-life organisation. I’m sorry, that’s just my opinion.

This logo has definitely inspired me to create more designs with a twist. Your color choice is awesome and I love the way the “ff” in coffee are coming right out of the cup. It looks so warm an inviting. Thanks again and congrats!!
